The floating camera [Obscuraboat]

is a catamaran boat with a room-sized walk-in camera obscura, self-built by Maciej Markowicz in 2017. The camera has a focal length up to four meters that can be adjusted by moving the focusing screen towards or away from the lens, which is mounted on the side wall. It is capable of making paper negatives up to 2x4 meters in size.

The driving camera [Obscurabus]

is a van-turned-camera obscura. Built in 2015 it is the precursor to the Obscuraboat. Maciej Markowicz spent over two years driving around New York City photographing the metropolis.
